Enjoy an evening of yummy desserts and amazing views of the night sky. Your experience will include a captain, assorted snacks and soft drinks. On our cruise, we set sail from the Contemporary resort 75 minutes before the Magic Kingdom fireworks were due to start. Our skipper spent plenty of time telling us lots of stories about the sights we saw as we toured Bay lake and Seven Seas Lagoon. If you’ve got the cash to blow, we think you’ll enjoy the experience.

Banners and balloons may be requested upon booking the cruise, and are included in the cost. Climb aboard one of Disney’s most iconic ferryboats for an unforgettable evening on the Seven Seas Lagoon. The Ferrytale Dessert Cruise had both its hits and misses for us. For the most part, the food was pretty good and the view of the fireworks was great (if you get up to a railing and can see clearly!).
NEWS: Fireworks Cruises are Back in Disney World!

Be sure to pay attention to the information for your particular booking. If the fireworks are canceled due to inclement weather, the cruise will still take place. The cruise offers more than just the fireworks, it’s also a unique opportunity to enjoy a relaxing boat ride and explore the Disney waterways.

This cruise is available to anyone - you don’t need to be staying at the resort your cruise leaves from, and you don’t even need to be staying on Disney property. I highly recommend making the Specialty Fireworks Cruise part of your vacation - it will be the highlight! Each time we’ve done this cruise, it’s been the most memorable part of the trip and it’s something we’ll continue to do over and over again - truly one of the best experiences Walt Disney World has to offer. The view for the fireworks from the boat is a super unique experience, but things like the projections and Tinker Bell flying were hard to see from this distance. We wouldn’t recommend it if this is your first time seeing the show.
Can I request a specific boat for my cruise?
This is one of several experiences offered for the nighttime fireworks shows. In addition to Disney providing an experienced boat captain, guests will receive assorted snacks and soft drinks. Festive banners and balloons are also included in the cost—and can be requested at the time of booking.
Electrical Water Pageant
We also saw Discovery island that was in operation before Animal Kingdom was built. I was also surprised to be shown the old water park, River Country. Learn more about the Specialty Fireworks Cruises at DisneyWorld.com. Guests flock and crammed into the parks to catch a glimpse of these beloved shows after missing them for over a year and a half. No, there is no minimum age requirement to book a Disney Fireworks Cruise. However, children under the age of 18 must have parent or guardian permission to call and book the cruise. Leaving from Disney’s Contemporary Resort, our journey took us past Wilderness Lodge, Polynesian Resort, Fort Wilderness and The Grand Floridian.

When you schedule your fireworks specialty cruise you will choose to meet your boat at Disney’s Polynesian Resort, the Grand Floridian, the Contemporary or Wilderness Lodge. We chose Disney’s Polynesian Resort because we wanted to have dinner at their quick-service restaurant, Captain Cooks (one of my most fav quick service places to eat all over Disney World), prior to sailing. Inside, it was your standard Disney ferry, with mostly standing room and a handful of seats. Basically what you’d find on the ferries during the day en route to and from the park.

Upon arrival you are assigned to be on the Smee boat or the Hook boat. Everyone in your party receives a special Pirates and Pals bandana. It is requested you wear this so they can know you are part of the crew.
The Plan Disney Parks Panel post also noted that their Magic Kingdom fireworks cruise included a tour around Seven Seas Lagoon and Bay Lake. Be sure to ask if your specialty cruise will include a small tour like this. Disney owns approximately 27 pontoon boats and 1 very fancy Grand Yacht that can be chartered by guests each evening for the fireworks show.
You’re not only getting an amazing boat ride, but a skipper with plenty of Disney knowledge. A tradition long enjoyed by families and couples alike, Disney's Specialty Cruises allow up to 10 guests to cruise out into the water to enjoy a breathtaking viewing spot of the nightly fireworks. You can choose to view Magic Kingdom's Happily Ever After fireworks or EPCOT's Luminous. When the fireworks end, your captain will take you to see one final thing on your way back to the marina - the Electrical Water Parade! Note that you may view the parade prior to the fireworks instead - it just depends on the scheduled showtimes for the day of your cruise. The parade view from the lake is so unique, and you can hear the parade music loud and clear.
However, if you don’t mind not being able to see the projections that well, then you’ll be okay! The 25 foot boat seats up to ten guests, and costs around $449 plus tax. This may seem like a lot of money, however when split between ten people it’s good value.
Cancellations made less than 24 hours in advance may be subject to a cancellation fee. While you are snacking on pirate treats, Captain Hook and Mr.Smee arrive for everyone to have a chance to take pictures with before heading out to the boats. Captain Hook and Mr. Smee will walk down to the docks with you, but they do not board the boats. Before leaving you will line up in two groups according to your assigned boat. One lucky pre-selected pirate for each boat will be assigned an important pirate job official boat flag holder for the evening! They will lead the way with Patch and Hook, or Patch and Smee, out to the docks.
You can now choose from multiple fireworks options at Walt Disney World. With increased options, there come increased choices to make. Which Disney fireworks cruise is best for you and the one that makes you feel fireworks of your own? It depends on your budget and the kind of experience that interests you.
On a Disney Fireworks Cruise, you’ll experience a relaxing boat ride, a spectacular view of the fireworks from the water, and the magic of Disney’s nighttime spectaculars. The cruise usually starts around 50 minutes before the fireworks finale. Guests are asked to arrive an hour and 15 minutes prior to the fireworks start time. The boat will take you on a short tour of either the Seven Seas Lagoon and Bay Lake or the waterway between EPCOT and Disney’s Hollywood Studios before stopping at a prime viewing spot for the fireworks show. The boat will have synchronized audio piped in, so you’ll be fully immersed in the show. Young and old buccaneers alike will love this pirate-themed dessert cruise that ends in a special viewing of Magic Kingdom’s Happily Ever After fireworks.
Arriving at the recommended time for the evening will give you plenty of time to complete a Pirate Scavenger Hunt in Disney’s Contemporary Resort! When you complete the hunt, you can return your answers to the check-in desk for a pirate prize. We were safely delivered back to the Contemporary resort a little while later with big smiles on our faces. Whilst I hadn’t considered booking a fireworks cruise in the past, I wish I had read a little more about it. On board the boat there was so much attention to detail for the guests.
