The cookie features the logo and was a nice touch to close out the dessert party. If you’ve had a royal icing decorated sugar cookie before, this is just that. It isn’t anything special but it’s thick, sweet, and a nice snack for later on in your evening. As the fireworks show wrapped up, we got to enjoy the serenity of the lagoon for another moment, and then McKenzie began the trip back to the Contemporary Marina. A Disney fireworks cruise is a magical way to see the fireworks shows from a different angle. Imagine sitting in the middle of Seven Seas Lagoon or Bay Lake on a pontoon boat watching the sky above you light up with the amazing Disney fireworks displays. There is also the ability to have synchronised audio on the boat, so you can enjoy the full experience.

Magic Kingdom Special Activities

Watching this classic parade float by is the perfect way to cap off the evening. You do have a distanced view of Cinderella Castle, so you can’t quite see the castle projections in detail, but you have a fantastic wide view of the entire show. If the castle projections are really important to you, then you might want to bring along binoculars (or consider booking a Magic Kingdom Fireworks Dessert Party instead, which gives you an up-close castle view).

And you know how much we LOOOOVE the Happily Ever After music! But we’re hoping it was just a technical difficulty on that first cruise. It was also a bit tough to get a good spot to see the fireworks (thankfully, someone was kind enough to share their spot with us). But if you prefer to sit or have tykes with you, you’ll need to stake out a spot well in advance to ensure you have a good view, and in the end, you might find yourself sharing elbow room with your neighbor.

You’re also provided with towels, which are located on the seats, in case you need them. Bathrooms at the Contemporary Marina were right next to the loading dock. One thing that might not so magical, even pre-pandemic, are the size of the crowds being stuffed down Main Street U.S.A. and the castle hub. For some, this might be just too much of a personal space invasion. After a very long time of waiting and hoping, Disney finally announced that both ‘Happily Ever After’ and ‘Epcot Forever’ fireworks would be returning on July 1, 2021.

Prices can vary, however, depending on the time of day and prices are subject to change. You are able to book speciality fireworks cruises to watch current nighttime shows at Disney World. These are currently Harmonious at Epcot, or Disney Enchantment at Magic Kingdom.

Harmonious cruises depart from Disney’s Yacht and Beach Club Resort. You then travel to the International Gateway near World Showcase Lagoon to watch the amazing nighttime show. This experience was also easier to book than the standard specialty cruises, thanks to the ability to book online.

Compared to other firework parties where you’re at a dedicated location set up for the show, it’s hard to ignore you’re standing on the same ferry boat that was recently shuttling hoards of guests to and fro all day. They do their best with it, but it’s still a chill party on floating Disney transportation. 😂 It’s still quite fun but not as much ambiance as, say, a dedicated viewing area on land could be. As we cruised through the lake, we came to a stop near the shores of the Polynesian Resort. This pit-stop was in order for us to be able to experience the Electrical Water Pageant. Specialty cruises for ‘Epcot Forever’ fireworks, will set sail from Disney’s Yacht and Beach Club Marina. All fireworks cruise reservations can be booked by calling (407) WDW-PLAY.

Please note that guests are asked to arrive an hour and 15 minutes prior to the fireworks start time. Once the show has ended, your journey back to Disney’s Contemporary begins, complete with pirate trivia and of course pirate singing! Each guest has the chance to crow, chat and take a photo with Peter Pan, before flying off to Neverland. The cruise is only available on select evenings and is able to be booked 180 days in advance. Did you know at Disney you could book your own private 25ft pontoon boat to have a view of the fireworks from Seven Seas Lagoon?

If you would like to enjoy the fireworks but keep your party at a bit of a distance from others, consider booking one of the newly returned specialty fireworks cruises. A few times a week, you can set sail to enjoy delicious desserts at the same time as watching the fireworks from Seven Seas Lagoon. Your check in will be at the Ticket and Transportation centre. From here you’ll board one of the Disney World ferries such as the general Joe Potter.

Of course, pictures rarely capture the extent of the beauty of fireworks, but its definitely true here- the pictures don’t do it justice. After the Electrical Water Pageant, we were whisked away to the front of Magic Kingdom, in the Seven Seas Lagoon. Disney spared no expense as they ensure that they pipe the music through the speakers of your own boat, so you don’t miss an ounce of Magic. Two cocktail tables on either sides of the boat ensure that there’s a comfortable spot to place your snack and drinks, as well as your personal belongings.

While not as extravagant as the Ferrytale Fireworks experience, each cruise is accompanied by a captain, and includes light snacks and soft drinks. The fireworks show sparkled over the water, and the feeling of not having to fight with thousands of other people on Main Street USA just to get a decent spot to view the fireworks, is unbeatable! We loved the snacks and drinks, the privacy and the entire experience as a whole. To book your chartered boat ask your travel agent to call 407-WDW-PLAY or visit Disney’s Speciality cruise page. Ideally, you would make your reservation at 180 days prior to arrival but honestly, unless it’s a very popular time, think holidays, you’re ok to call in closer to your vacation. In fact, we booked our cruise only a month in advance for a weeknight sailing in September.

When you arrive at the resort you’ll head to the marina where you’ll meet up with your boat driver. The boat is pristinely clean and waiting complete with soda, water, and a few light snacks. Most of the treats were pretty uninspired — a basic brownie, a basic cupcake, etc, BUT some were pretty unique.

When you’re paying $100 bucks a person, you kind of expect you’ll get a great view of the show, but that wasn’t a guarantee here like it practically is at most other firework parties we’ve attended. It also got crowded at the dessert tables at the beginning of the night, so pace yourself or head up to the second level where the large table is stocked. Admission is $99 for adults and $69 for children ages 3 to 9 (tax and gratuity included). We checked in for our show at the Ferry Station at the Transportation and Ticket Center. Sailing time will change, of course, as it depends on when the fireworks shows will be scheduled each night.
